Everything you own requires
maintenance. Your house, your car, your landscaping and, yes,
even yourself! You paint your house or keep the siding washed to
maintain its original appearance. You wax your car to protect
its finish from sunlight, dirt and wear. Your cut and feed your
lawn continuously. You brush and clean your teeth, you exercise
and apply lotions to protect your skin. You take vitamins and
eat properly. Do you really believe that your pool finish will
not age and need care? Pool surfaces face the most difficult of
environments - i.e., constant submersion in chemically treated
pool water! In your pool:
Harsh chemicals (oxidizers) continually attack and burn the
surface, much more so than in a water treatment plant where the
chlorine is kept at a much lower level. The pH/acid swings can
eat away at your masonry finish - which is why sewage plants are
painted! Sunlight and wather cause the same deterioration as
they do to your house - often obvious on vinyl-sided houses as
fading and chalking. Freeze/thaw cycles damage and break down
the concrete/plaster finish and structural integrity of your
pool - just as they do sidewalks, bridges, etc. Your pool will
suffer all these assaults and, in fact, all these factors are
the very reason that swimming pool paint was developed!
So, don't ever believe anyone who offers you a
"lifetime" maintenance-free finish - it doesn't exist
- as your own logic, your very own eyes will tell you!
With the proper quality and type of swimming pool paint,
your swimming pool will be protected from all these assaults,
and with periodic (often 5-7 years) recoats, will maintain its
aesthetic qualities as well.
What's more, with a quality swimming pool paint, you can easily
change the "look" of your swimming pool to suit your
design style - a white pool shows the true blue shading of the
water; a black pool "mirrors" the blue sky, white
clouds and surrounding greenery; a french gray pool blends well
with surrounding rockscapes while giving a tropical aqua hue to
the water; a blue pool deepens the true blue of the water and a
gray pool works well with slate and marble accents. Then, you
have the added advantage of doing design murals - leaping
dolphins, floral accents, seascapes, logos, etc. - your artistic
desires are truly unlimited!
A TOP-QUALITY SWIMMING POOL PAINT OFFERS ON-GOING PROTECTION OF
YOUR POOL STRUCTURE WHILE PROVIDING A BEAUTIFUL, EASY-TO-CLEAN
FINISH WITH UNLIMITED DESIGN POTENTIAL!
